Euphemisms in 4D

June 2, 2010 by Gerard M. Nadal

Here are a couple of videos of babies at 11 and 12 weeks of gestation, putting the lie to the euphemisms. This is the stage of development that the baby in Phoenix had achieved before Sr. McBride signed off on its death. The Phoenix baby was close to 12 weeks.

Point well made — hopefully, it will be a point well taken. That is definitely a baby — from the moment of conception. Praying for the softening of hearts and the illumination of minds — especially those in Phoenix.

    Blessings,

    Kathy

I wonder if we have any pictures of the mother who was gong to die, and her four children who were going to lose their mother? I haven’t seen any online.

Kathy would you still choose the mother if it were a choice between her an one of those other four children?

Simon, I am interested in understanding the whole context of the case.

I am not in favor of death for anyone.

Unfortunately, in this case, it seems that one or two people were going to die. The mother and baby together, or the baby if delivered too soon.

For me, abortion is not an option, killing is not an option, letting die is not an option.

I am sad for, and keep in my thoughts and prayers, everyone involved in this situation: the baby who died, the mother, the nun, the siblings, and those that carried out the abortion. And everyone trying to understand and deal with this situation.

Sorry my comment was meant in general. My stance is probably a bit different than the usual Catholic line but overall unless it involves rape I think it is unethical for people to choose the mother just because they have already established deep social ties.
