HABEMUS PAPAM!!
Mark Shea shares an delicious pearl from our new Holy Father:
In the Aparecida Document, a joint statement of the bishops of Latin America, Cardinal Bergoglio commented on the worthiness of individuals to receive the Eucharist. The text states in paragraph 436 that, “We should commit ourselves to ‘eucharistic coherence’, that is, we should be conscious that people cannot receive Holy Communion and at the same time act or speak against the commandments, in particular when abortion, euthanasia, and other serious crimes against life and family are facilitated. This responsibility applies particularly to legislators, governors, and health professionals.”
We’ll see how this plays out here in the U.S. in the months to come, but there can be no mistake about the Holy Father’s position. As the Culture of Death continues its acceleration, we have come to the end of dialogue, posturing, and semantic games; the end of the diplomatic charade on the left. The souls of our Catholic leaders on the left are in peril, and Cardinal Bergolio has defined for the Church the proper disposition for approaching Holy Communion.
Sorry, Nancy, but you need to make a choice. Eternal salvation, or a few more years of temporal power.
Choose wisely.
We’re praying for you.

With all due respect again, DR NADAL, we are invited to judge actions as Francis Bishop of Rome did in S. A. hut Santa Madre Ecclesia has never ever pronounced INTERNAL judgment on Judas Hitler nor anyone. She is Christ’s Vicar not JESUS as internal judge of anyone’s spiritual condition.
Sorry, guys, but we are called to perform fraternal correction. That’s not judging, that’s assessing and warning. Learn the difference.
Robert, substantiate you claims by sundown today, or I’m taking down your comments. I don’t permit mindless drive-by shootings here.
Apparently Robert Berger believes that “poor women in poor countries” simply have to have abortions. There’s no other option for them–not abstaining from unmarried sex, not giving birth to the children they conceive, no, they HAVE to have abortions, and unless the Catholic church smiles upon them being given both birth control and “safe” abortions (an oxymoron if ever there was one) they are destined to die through no fault of their own.
He has a good point, Robert does. Clearly providing birth control and “safe abortions” in developed countries has done such a remarkable job of preventing unplanned pregnancies and eliminating the treatment of women as sexual objects.
That last paragraph was sarcasm, by the way.
[...] Coming Home wonders how the new Pope will address allowing communion for “Catholics” who vote for, advocate, and support the evil of abortion – like Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Andrew Cuomo, and others. [...]
Hello Dr. Nara, Thanks for posting “Habemus Papam, Pelosi!”. I really appreciate coming across faithful Catholics, especially since I myself have recently returned to my Catholic Faith after being out in the world. I have seen the Church been hijacked by the “Social Justice” movement, even proclaiming Pope Francis (inorrectly) as a Social Justice saint. If anybody knows reality, isnt Judas the patron Saint of Community Organizing and Social Justice? All too many of my fellow Catholics have lost their way (see Obama winning Catholic vot abortion support) – Most Catholics now even support homosexual “marriage” – Last I checked the Catechism still considers this wrong – Maybe Cary Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi, and all of the other pro-abort Catholics in Washington will actively be forced by their parish priests be forced to make a choice or be forced with the “E-Word” – Excommunication – Abortion is just plain sick – No society has ever survived that murdered its young out of convenience!
