Dr. Gerard M. Nadal: Science in Service of the Pro-Life Movement

BIO

Dr. Gerard M. Nadal currently serves as the Executive Director of the Children First Foundation, and is past National Director of Medical Students for Life of America.

Dr. Nadal holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy, Master of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology, Master of Philosophy in Biology, and Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology from Saint John’s University, New York City. Between his B.A. and M.S. studies, Dr. Nadal studied for a year in Seminary and then Post-baccalaureate Science for three years at Columbia University, New York City.

Dr. Nadal has taught Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Immunology, Genetics, Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology for sixteen years, both at Saint John’s University, New York City and Manhattan College, Riverdale, New York as Visiting Professor of Biology.

A member of The American Society for Microbiology, The New York Academy of Sciences, associate member of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a member of University Faculty For Life,and the Catholic Writers Guild, science has become a second career for Dr. Nadal, after spending seven years working with homeless teens at Covenant House in Times Square, New York.

Currently Dr. Nadal is collaborating on an internation research project on the deleterious effects of oral contraceptives, teaching part-time, and serving several other pro-life organizations in varied capacities including:

Member, Pope John Paul the Great Bioethics Commission

Advisory Board, Coalition on Abortion and Breast Cancer.

Executive Committee, Commission for Reproductive Health Service Standards.

Advisory Board, Good Counsel Homes.

Dr Nadal is a columnist for <a href="http://www.headlinebistro.com/en/columnists/index.html&quot;Headline Bistro, an online news and opinion source for Roman Catholics published by the Knights of Columbus, and writer/guest blogger at LifeSiteNews.com.

A Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and unapologetic Roman Catholic loyal to the Magisterium, a speaker to pro-life organizations, college and church groups on the life issues, Dr Nadal is also a guest on radio shows, including the Janet Parshall Show on the Moody radio network, the Drew Mariani Show on Relevant Radio, and The Urban Prophet with Rev. Clenard Childress, WLIB, New York.

He and his wife Regina home school their three children.
