We continue our Divine Mercy Novena today, led by Deacon Marcelino Hernandez of the Archdiocese of Chicago who has written the daily focal points and has sent them along to be posted here. The link to the Divine Mercy Chaplet follows the prayer.
We Pray now under Deacon Hernandez’ leadership:
✞ ✞ ✞
Today bring to Me THE SOULS OF PRIESTS AND RELIGIOUS, and immerse them in My unfathomable mercy. It was they who gave Me strength to endure My bitter Passion. Through them as through channels My mercy flows out upon mankind.
Let us pray especially for Fr. Thomas Euteneuer, and for all Priests and religious, who succumb to sin and ask for mercy, to be reconciled to God and to His People. That through their faithful service, renewed with compassion and mercy they may be the catalyst for all who seek mercy and lead them by a renewed witness to your love.
Most Merciful Jesus, from whom comes all that is good, increase Your grace in men and women consecrated to Your service,* that they may perform worthy works of mercy; and that all who see them may glorify the Father of Mercy who is in heaven.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the company of chosen ones in Your vineyard—upon the souls of priests and religious; and endow them with the strength of Your blessing. For the love of the Heart of Your Son in which they are enfolded, impart to them Your power and light, that they may be able to guide others in the way of salvation and with one voice sing praise to Your boundless mercy for ages without end. Amen.

Thanks again for posting this.
Thank YOU Deacon!
um, how do you do this? I’m not catholic. just pray along, saying the words printed, and our soul conforms to this prayer as we say it?
I’d like to participate. I just don’t know how.
Ari,
We’re all gathering at the same time each day, the Universal Church, to pray the prayers. If you go to the chaplet link, you can read about the Novena and see the prayers there.
Deacon Hernandez has personalized each nights prayers. So, yes, as you pray along, you’ll be praying with fellow pro-lifers from coast to coast and around the world; the very definition of “Catholic”.
God Bless
Ari,
While the prayers are simple, the meanings are deep. After a few times saying the short prayer you can repeat the prayers AND seek an internal reflection of your heart. And in doing so you can offer up what your heart reveals to you to Jesus and his infinate mercy. His mercy is a gift and because it is a gift it allows us to experiance His love and open our hearts to that mercy. As you delve into that “ocean of mercy” you can only let it wash over you and allow your self to be drawn in closer to love and mercy himself.
Hope that helps. Thanks for joining us.
