The Human Face of One Woman Deceived by the Abortion Industry

June 23, 2011 by Gerard M. Nadal

The problem that I have with statistics when describing the numbers of human victims of tragedy is that they don’t show us the faces of those who suffer. The numbers are cold and impersonal. They don’t show us emotion. They don’t tell us of the deception that has led to their suffering, and no place is that more true than with the deception of the abortionist.

Here is a woman of immense grace, a post-abortive mom, Carla. Carla is a fellow moderator at Jill Stanek’s blog, and one of the women who has guided me in my development within the pro-life movement. This is Carla’s story, which is so many other women’s story. This is the human face of one who has experienced the depths of suffering after abortion and has risen anew in Jesus’ mercy and forgiveness. Carla works diligently at leading many post-abortive women home, and steering abortion-minded women away from the same experience that she has suffered.

God love you, Carla.

When your shame and guilt meet His mercy you are able to see the Sun for the first time since the abortion. Whe He removes the darkness inside your heart it is like an explosion of Light. The release quickens your step and the tears that you feared for so long cleanse your soul.
Thanks Carla for your sharing your gift.

I can’t think of a better description of Carla than, “a woman of immense grace”.

We often see pictures of suffering people from various situations; war, famine, people with serious injuries or diseases.

But our society certainly does ignore the suffering of mothers who have aborted their children. For heaven’s sake, its taken YEARS just to get forced abortion in China and the suffering mothers there onto the internet and into the news.

Our society doesn’t like to admit the possibility of women suffering from abortion because abortion is suppose to be a right. And rights are suppose to be good things. But the “right” to abortion always ends with a dead baby and always harms a woman in one way or another.

The voice of a woman who has been harmed from abortion just might make us stop for a minute and consider that reality of abortion: in every abortion a baby dies.

It takes great courage to take on this myth that abortion is a right and a good for women. It takes “a woman of immense grace” like Carla and many others.

Carla, one of the beautiful blessing in my life as I journey back from the pain and destruction of abortion. We, who have been touched by your life, love you Carla!
